Diglett's Cave is the 16th level in Pokémon Tower Defense.

Description[]

In the opening cutscene, it is revealed that Lt. Surge and Raikou were under mind control, but Lt. Surge managed to break free by witnessing how well Raichu did on the battlefield. Sadly, Raikou hasn't broken free, and is mad at Lt. Surge for this reason, and so he soars out the roof of the gym yelling "HE WILL PAY FOR THIS!"

Brock, Jessie and James quickly leave with all the Rare Candy. Lt. Surge tells you to follow them, and so you do, leading you to Diglett's Cave, where it is revealed Brock hypnotized the wild Pokémon to carry the Rare Candy for them.

Strategy[]

  • It used to be possible to beat the level by only using the move Sand Attack. With all six slots filled with Pokémon that know this move, the Pokémon could be placed at the beginning slots of the level and moved to the next spot when necessary. The move would cause all Pokémon to drop their candy; this is no longer possible as of v.4.7, as only Accuracy-lowering attacks make the target drop carried candy, and Spearow's Ability Keen Eye will negate the Accuracy-lowering moves entirely.
  • Have four attacking Pokémon at the beginning. Put a Pokémon with Whirlwind near the end; in front of him, put a Pokémon with Sand Attack. Let the Sand Attack Pokémon attack until the Pokémon behind it uses Whirlwind, then switch to Sand Attack. This way, when the Pokémon goes back, it won't have the Rare Candy.
  • The most common tactic used is to have your normal five attacking Pokémon in the earlier slots and in the last possible slot on the level have a user of Whirlwind or Roar. This gives you three chances to kill a boss Pokémon, Arbok being the hardest one to kill.
