  • There are a variety of options. Making use of moves like Sand Attack/Smokescreen will prevent the candy from traveling too much. Using one Ground-type that knows Earthquake with five Flying-type Pokémon prevents the rest of your towers from being injured. Moving your Pokémon around in different spots based on where the waves are advancing from is virtually necessary.
  • Similar strategy except you get the candy to the lower left or right hand corner at around wave 8 using Tentacool, and just defend against Machop and Tentacool.
  • You can also just focus on the top or the bottom, three on either side. You can change from top to bottom except for the first seven.
  • If you use this strategy, bring Pokémon containing the moves Fire Blast, Sand Tomb, Solar Beam, Blizzard, Stun Spore, Roar, and Spore. Use Spore and Stun Spore on the Geodude and keep switching to other Pokémon. Make sure one Pokémon knows Roar, and survive to the fittest. Allow the first four Geodude to drag the candy into the top left corner, then defeat them. Put all six of your Pokémon in these places around the four candy. The Raichu on late waves may take a few strong moves, but it stops the Tentacruel completely.
  • This is a way I did it; I used a level 40 Charizard using Fire Blast (TM), a level 50 Golem using Rock Blast, a level 40 Blastoise with the attack Blizzard (TM), a level 40 Venusaur with the attack Solar Beam, a level 40 Pidgeot defending the candy with Whirlwind, and a level 40 Pikachu with Thundershock. First, put Charizard in the top left place near the candy. Put Golem on the opposite side of Charizard. Then put Blastoise under Charizard in the bottom left corner NEAR the candy. Venusaur will be on the opposite side, of course. Since the Tentacruel are the hardest, put Pidgeot (REMEMBER, whirlwind!) at the bottom corner, left or right. That should give more time to defeat the Tentacruel. Then Pikachu will use the weakness of Tentacruel, Electric. Should be enough power. If one Tentacruel is still surviving, put more Pokémon the side of the survivor. Good luck if it doesn't work, just try again. If you don't have those Pokémon just use other Pokémon with the same moves that works. To get the award your pokemon must be less than lv 50 but lv 40 will work
