Description

This outstanding Pokémon has a fantastic sense of balance. He can kick in succession from any posture or position. His legs are able to stretch and contract so he can kick an opponent from great distances. He is known as the "Kicking Master" and is an expert in Tae Kwon Do. Hitmonlee is the Kicking Pokémon, with his rival being the Punching Pokémon, Hitmonchan.

  • Hitmonlee has access to the most recoil moves in the game (4), if Explosion and Selfdestruct don't count.
  • Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee's names are a reference to two famous martial artists, Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, respectively. Sam called the Hitmonlee in the cutscene of "Rocket Hideout," Brucey, as in Bruce Lee.
