An old and beat-up fishing rod. Use it by any body of water to fish for wild Pokémon.

The Old Rod is a fishing rod you can use in Pokémon Tower Defense. You earn it from completion of the second challenge mode level, Old Rod. This is also used in the official Pokémon games and it is a rubbish item.

Way of UseEdit

A fishing rod icon appears in the top left corners of levels it can be used on. It is used automatically.

In Cerulean Gym, one Magikarp will appear in every wave up to wave 14, making them easy to catch, but also making the level slightly harder because Magikarp are faster than the previous fastest catchable pokemon, Pidgey.

In Vermillion City, a Magikarp will appear in wave 9. When the Super Rod is obtained, Shellder or Krabby may appear in its place. It is, However, still possible for a Magikarp to appear.

Super RodEdit

The Super Rod is a fishing rod you can use in Pokémon Tower Defense. You earn it from completion of Route 15.

It is a better version of the Old Rod.

Way of UseEdit

A fishing rod icon appears in the top-left corners of levels it can be used on, and is used automatically. Currently it is used in the levels Cerulean Gym and Vermillion City .

With the rod, a Krabby, Shellder, or Magikarp have a chance to appear in wave 9 in Vermillion City, albeit there will only be one of them - NOT all of them. Psyduck, Krabby, and Magikarp may appear in the Cerulean Gym 1 randomly.
